ZONTA INTERNATIONAL CELEBRATES 105 YEARS OF EMPOWERING WOMEN
Over one hundred years ago, a small group of pioneering women came together in Buffalo, New York with a vision to help all women realize greater equality while using their individual and collective expertise in service to their community.
Their vision became Zonta International, an organization that has grown to more than 26,000 members in 64 countries, working together to make gender equality a reality for women and girls worldwide.
On 8 November 2019, Zonta International marked a century of commitment to gender-equity. In 2023, we developed a strategic plan to ensure that the organization is in the best position to remain a leading global organization for empowering women and girls.

Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.
In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men.
In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
